Transfer News: Arsenal target’s request, Zlatan Ibrahimovic, West Ham sign Feghouli, Varane, Skrtel

Wolfsburg sporting director Klaus Allofs has revealed Ricardo Rodriguez wants to leave club.

The left-back, on international duty with Switzerland at Euro 2016, has been linked with a move to Arsenal and is valued at around £19million.

Allofs is quoted by Swiss newspaper Blick saying: “Rici has stated that his future is not with us.

“But we can live with this decision.”

Zlatan Ibrahimovic is set to undergo a medical at Manchester United after Euro 2016, according to Sky Sports.

The 34-year-old played against Ireland in France last night and is widely expected to join United when the competition ends – or when Sweden are knocked out.

And Sky claim personal terms have been agreed and the medical is the final stage before the one-year deal is announced.

West Ham have completed the signing of Sofiane Feghouli from Valencia.

The Algerian was out of contract but joins the Hammers on a three year deal.

“I am very happy to sign for the Hammers and for Slaven Bilic,” Feghouli said. “The history of the club is important for me in my decision.

“Playing in the Premier League is very important for players in their careers and I am happy to play for the Hammers.”

According to reports from Marca, Manchester United transfer target Raphael Varane is considering his future at Real Madrid.

The 23-year-old is rated as one of the most exciting talents in world football and was dubbed the beautiful game’s ‘best young defender‘ by now-United boss Jose Mourinho back in 2014. However, Los Blancos are expected to reject any advances for the defensive prodigy unless he actively expresses a desire to move on.

The Slovakia international Martin Skrtel, who is currently at Euro 2016, was out of favour under Jurgen Klopp last season, and started just four games in 2016.

He is expected to leave Anfield this summer, and he has apparently been attracting interest from Turkish title-winners Besiktas.

However agent Mithat Halis, who works for Stars&Friends, the management company that represents the Slovakian, claims Besiktas aren’t keen on a move for the defender.

Instead he revealed three other clubs are interested in signing Skrtel this summer.

Arsenal, Chelsea and Manchester United have all been linked with a move for the Spain striker – but any deal is dependent on Madrid.

The Spanish giants inserted a buy-back clause when selling Morata to Juventus in 2014.

And they look set to exercise it and sell the 23-year-old on for a profit. Madrid will have to pay around £23million to Juventus and will then look for around £40m for any suitors.
