Steve Bruce has told the Birmingham Mail that Aston Villa will be looking to buy another forward this summer.
Villa have struggled in front of goal so far this season, scoring just twice in their first three Premier League matches.
And Bruce now admits that he is on the hunt for a new number nine, even though he has a limited budget.
“We need to score, we need to really look at what we’ve got at the top end of the pitch because without Kodjia at the moment we are a bit toothless I have to say that,” Bruce said.
“We have to try to address that if we can.
“I’ll try my best with what we can to try to bring something in that will help us, especially at the top end of the pitch.”
Villa have used Scott Hogan as their main striker for much of the season so far, but he has struggled.
Hogan is yet to score in the Championship this term, and picked up an injury in Villa’s most recent match against Reading.
