Carlos Carvalhal has been speaking to the press today ahead of Sheffield Wednesday’s fixture with Burton Albion this weekend and revealed that Frederico Venancio is finally available for selection.
The new signing looks like he could be a real capture for the squad but it has been a bit of a protracted process in waiting for him to actually play for the club.
Indeed, there was a delay in getting international clearance for the centre-half but that has now gone through and he could be in line to take to the pitch at the Pirelli Stadium tomorrow.
Indeed, Carvalhal revealed the news in his presser and was quoted by the club’s official Twitter account too in saying:
CC: Venancio is ready to play now, Kieran Lee trained with the team yesterday and that is a very good step #swfcLIVE

Good news for Wednesday fans, then, as they look to kick on this season after a pretty steady start to proceedings.
For sure, they’ll be looking for more attacking intent from the club in the game against the lowly Brewers whilst Venancio – should he play – will be expected to keep things tight at the back.
