Aaron Lennon’s mental health problems shone a brighter light on an issue that is becoming less and less stigmatised and former Everton striker Andy Johnson has made an brilliant pledge on the back of it.

Reports earlier in the week confirmed that Everton winger Lennon had been detained under the mental health act after suffering with problems.
Generally the footballing world and media has stood by the former England international in his time of need as the issue with mental health has become more prevalent in elite sports.
Unfortunately some morons decided to point out how much Lennon earns as if there is some sort of correlation between money and depression, but you’d expect little else from some of these people.
Back to the feel good aspect of the story and that has been the support from most within the sport and an acceptance that people need to talk more about these issues.
Former Everton and Crystal Palace striker Andy Johnson took to Twitter to express his support for Lennon and mental health charity Mind with a post that has gone epically viral:
