Forget about Anthony Rizzo’s achievements on the diamond. It turns out the All-Star is doing even more off the field.
While the school-shooting that took place at Stoneman Douglas still stings all of America, Rizzo continues to show support for his former high school. In fact, the superstar has bigger plans for the school this Friday.
It turns out that Rizzo and the Cubs will honor the victims of the shooting when they play the Miami Marlins. That’s not at all though, as Chicago’s first baseman is inviting four families to the game as well.
When #Cubs play Marlins on Fri, they’ll honor victims of shooting at Parkland, FL, HS. Rizzo has invited 4 families plus the MSD baseball team to the game. Will present check from auction https://t.co/4B9WHy7UY6
