Losers of their last five games, the Kansas City Royals are treading water in the American League playoff race. The hopes of winning the division are rapidly sinking, and if the Royals don’t stop the bleeding in the next week or so, their plans of wrapping up one of the coveted Wild Card spots will be a failed mission, as well.
