That’s got to be the question every media outlet will be asking Monster Energy Cup Series driver, Rick Stenhouse Jr during this weekend’s traditional throwback race at Darlington Raceway after it was revealed that he drew the ire of Dale Earnhardt JR two weeks ago at Bristol Motor Speedway. Of course all is probably good now and the two probably patched things up since then, but that doesn’t mean JR’s comments were any less brutal.
“What the (expletive) is that idiot doing?! Dale Earnhardt JR asked his team after on track contact with Ricky Stenhouse JR,” The 17 has hit me twice on the back straightaway the last two laps because he ain’t watching his (expletive) windshield. Maybe that damn hood is so high he can’t see over it.” It is worth noting that JR is only one inch taller then Stenhouse Jr is and Stenhouse is also considered average height for a NASCAR driver.
JR ended up finishing 23rd and Ricky Stenhouse JR finished 14th. Ricky Stenhouse Jr is also qualified for the playoffs this season with a win at Talladega and The Coke Zero 400, which JR is still trying to calling for with only two races to go this season. Unfortunatley for JR, it seems like this is evidence of his building frustration and it will only boil over after he fails to come up with the win in the next two races.
