David Price proved that he’s got PLENTY of value for the Red Sox in the postseason, not to mention the 2018 regular season that’ll follow.
Even if he’s stuck in the bullpen for now, he utterly destroyed the Astros in an elimination Game 3 on Sunday with four powerfully scoreless innings, whiffing Marwin Gonzalez and screaming at him for the final out of his campaign.
But the manager who put him in this spot? Yeah, no love for him either. Check out Price-on-Farrell after he left the field at the end of the seventh.

Stone. Cold. Nothing.
Price kept pushing himself in this one, grabbing one more inning twice after we assumed he was done. And Farrell allowed it, and should get plenty of credit for the gutsy call.
However, Price ain’t giving it to him. We’ll have to do it. The former ace won’t.
