Ezekiel Elliott Could Face Suspension

According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, Ezekiel Elliott is reportedly “bracing” for a suspension coming his way from the NFL as repercussions for a 2016 domestic violence charge.

The Dallas Cowboys running back was accused assaulting his 20-year-old ex-girlfriend last year in Columbus, Ohio, allegedly attacking her in her car.

The story seemingly fading out of importance when Elliott provided screenshots of text messages showing it could have been a set up motivated by revenge and/or money, as well as numerous eye witnesses who said they didn’t see an assault take place.

The charges against Elliott were dropped due to “conflicting and inconsistent information,” per ESPN’s Jean-Jacques Taylor.

If the running back does have to miss time, the Cowboys have Darren McFadden and Alfred Morris to take his place, not too shabby of a backup running back duo.
