The Golden State Warriors have assembled an incredible big four ahead of the new season, but having let Andrew Bogut leave to make way for Kevin Durant, there have been a lot of questions about just how the 2015 champions will line up.

Zaza Pachulia has come the other way from the Dallas Mavericks as the only true center on their roster with more than one season’s worth of NBA experience.

The franchise has championed small ball throughout Steve Kerr’s tenure as head coach and it appears they will continue to use the same approach that brought them so much success in the past.

With that in mind, it seems Durant could be spending a lot more time at the power forward spot – although it isn’t a position completely alien to him and he certainly has the ability to thrive there in Golden State’s pass-happy team.

Speaking to CSN Bay Area, the third-year head coach explained the qualities that could see Durant occupy the four spot

“He’s a really good rim protector, in a non-traditional way,” Kerr said. “When he played the ‘four’ against us in the playoffs, he was brilliant. He blocked some shots and he scored a bunch of times. So he’ll play a lot of ‘four’ for us, for sure.”

With Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson, Durant and Draymond Green, the Warriors have the ability to have at least one superstar name on the floor at all times and the versatility of their big names will be vital in their rotation.
