LEEDS ON VERGE OF MAJOR SIGNING

The 2017-18 season may still be in it’s infancy, but it’s so far so good for Leeds United.

The Whites are third in the Championship after five rounds of the new season.

Moreover, Leeds and Cardiff remain the only two clubs in the Championship yet to be beaten.

Off the pitch, it was a hugely exciting summer for Leeds in the transfer market.

The Yorkshire club have brought in 14 new faces this summer and made Hadi Sacko and Pontus Jansson’s moves to Elland Road permanent.

On the outgoings, last season’s top goalscorer Chris Wood left to join Burnley.

‘A big surprise from Asia’

But are Leeds still active in the transfer market?

Yes, according to the club’s director of football Victor Orta.

Leeds manager Thomas Christiansen could yet get one more player into the club, says Orta, as revealed during a Facebook Q&A with fans.

Victor Orta told Leeds fans the following:

We have a special group of scouts that watch the countries with lower leagues perhaps like Pawel Cibicki of Malmo in the Sweden league.

And we are near to signing a big surprise from Asia.
