Depending on how the order of the 2018 NFL Draft sets up, USC quarterback Sam Darnold could return to school next year for his junior season.

According to MMQB’s Albert Breer, Darnold is going to wait and see which teams are picking in the top two spots in next April’s Draft before deciding if he will stay or leave USC.

If the Cleveland Browns are picking in the top two, he may return to school.

The Browns are one of two win less teams, along with the San Francisco 49ers, in the NFL. If the NFL Draft was today, Cleveland would hold the No. 1 overall pick if the season ended today based on strength-of-schedule tie breaker.

Earlier this week, the 49ers solved their QB problems after acquiring Jimmy Garoppolo in a trade with the New England Patriots.

The New York Giants (1-6) currently hold the No. 3 pick in the NFL Draft and could sneak their way into the top two depending on what happens with the Browns and 49ers. They could also be looking for a successor to 36-year-old Eli Manning.

Darnold is widely regarded as the best quarterback in the 2018 Draft.
