This is the REASON why Warriors refusing to visit Trump’s White House

The NBA champion Warriors denied reports that they had unanimously decided not to visit Trump’s White House, issuing a statement that said the team had not yet been invited and hadn’t made a decision on what to do if it was, Sports Illustrated reported.

“Today is about celebrating our championship,” the statement read. “We have not received an invitation to the White House, but will make those decisions, when and if necessary.”

The newly crowned NBA champion Golden State Warriors unanimously decided not to visit President Trump’s White House, The Independent reported.

The Warriors claimed their second championship in three years on Monday night by beating the Cleveland Cavaliers 129-120 to win the best-of-seven series four games to one.

A White House visit is customary for championship sports teams. Trump hosted Clemson University’s NCAA football champions on Monday.

Thus far, no Warriors players, coaches or staff members have elaborated on the decision.

The Warriors visited President Obama’s White House after they won the NBA title two years ago. The Cavaliers also accepted Obama’s invitation after winning the title last year.

Several members of the New England Patriots skipped the team’s White House visit after its most recent Super Bowl victory.
