The Belgian has been in exceptional form this season, producing a number of memorable displays against the likes of Juventus, Manchester United and Arsenal.

His Spurs career appeared to be coming to an end before Mauricio Pochettino took over as manager.

Despite Dembele’s inconsistencies, Pochettino vowed to find a place for him in the side – since then has become an integral player in the Tottenham squad.

A number of injuries have threatened to hinder the latter years of his career over the past couple of seasons, but the 30-year-old is still seemingly going strong.

However, Dembele doesn’t think he will be involved the sport once his playing days are over.

“No chance. You won’t see me back in football anytime soon,” he told Sport/Foot (via ESPN).

“I’m not excluding it 100 percent, but even at 18, Mousa Dembele I was already saying that I wouldn’t stay in the business when my career ended. I still say it.

“Not as a manager, not on television or in any other role. But you never know. Maybe I’ll change my mind in three to four years’ time.”
