As the footballing world continues to come to terms with the death of the majority of the Chapecoense football squad, fans of the Brazilian club gathered at their Arena Condá stadium to pay their own respects on Tuesday night.

71 people in total were killed after Flight 2933, carrying Chapecoense players and staff as well as 21 journalists, crashed near Medellin, Columbia on Monday. Only six people survived, including three footballers.

And, as the likes of Real Madrid, Liverpool, Lionel Messi and Brazilian legend Pele have paid their respects, one surviving member of the team, Alejandro Martinuccio, shared a video showing the harrowing scene at the club’s 22,600 capacity stadium.

Marinuccio, a 28-year-old striker, didn’t travel on the flight bound for Chapecoense’s first-leg Copa Sudamericana tie against Atletico Nacional because of injury.

He is believed to be one of only nine remaining playing staff at the provincial club who had drawn comparisons to Leicester City because of their rapid rise up Brazil’s league standings.

Taking to Twitter on Tuesday evening, he gave an insight into the mourning process that has already begun as he filmed thousands of Chapecoense fans singing for their fallen idols:
